WYES - Interior and Exterior Signage

OPA was proud to partner with WYES with their new expansion. The new building is 47,000 sq. ft. complex at their historic location on Navarre Avenue in the heart of Lakeview will take us “beyond the TV set” with advanced technology to create pioneering content that can be streamed across new platforms worldwide, enhanced studio space that includes theater seating, and event space for public use.

Our scope of work included the Exterior Lettering, Entrance Sign, Way-finding Signage, and Interior ADA signs. All produced here locally and in house. We offered them turn key production and installation.

The exterior signage adds a great visibility during the day and at night it illuminates a soft white glow.

The Quisby - What's old is new again.

A historic past with a dash of infamy is paired with modern convenience to create the new face of the Quisby Hostel. The Quisby is located in a historic building that once housed the Audubon Hotel. The Audubon Hotel opened for business at a time when the Mississippi River was the busiest commercial corridor in the country and New Orleans was a hub of commerce, banking, and transportation. At different times, the downstairs area served as the site of two well-known New Orleans establishments, the original Bamboo Dance Club and, more recently, the Raucous Audubon Club.

Our customer needed a Canopy Awning and Lettering that would look great, function well, and stand the test of time just like the the hostel.

Dodge Ram Custom Trailer

Everything is bigger in Texas!

For this project we were partnered with Blaine Kern Studios to create something awesome for the Texas State Fair. Part trailer and part robot, we were tasked to engineer and produce an enormous vending machine with a display case of oversized Dodge Ram shwag merchandise.  Not only did it have to look great but it had to be functional as well.   The operator would insert the coin and make a merchandise selection using the illuminated, animated board we created and that would signal a person inside the trailer which item to dispense.

We received a blank trailer that had to be fully wrapped in wide format digitally printed vinyl graphics along with adding digitally printed banners and digitally printed dimensional panels.

We loved this job because it was an all hands on deck project that utilized every aspect of our shop from design, fabrication, and installation. We had a great collaborative effort with our customer that has been a stepping stone to many future jobs.

New Orleans Convention Center

OPA is proud to introduce The Great Hall – An elegant,  state-of-the-art space in the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

Events held in New Orleans just aren’t the same as events held in other cities. Smiles are brighter. Handshakes are more energetic. Everyone is simply excited to be in one of the world’s most storied and culturally rich destinations. Traditional, old-time jazz music enlivens the soul, the cuisine is incomparable, and the city’s charm captivates and we wanted the signage to represent that.

The freshly re-signed New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is an essential component of what makes the city’s major business events so successful. With 1.1 million square feet of contiguous exhibit space, the Convention Center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation, and it consistently ranks in the country’s top ten of facilities that hold the most conventions and tradeshows annually. When it comes to stunning signage this is top of the line

Geaux Fish!

AUDUBON AQUARIUM OF THE AMERICAS

OPA is thrilled to announce The Audubon Nature Institute is scheduled to open a Louisiana fisheries exhibit on Thursday at its Audubon Aquarium of the Americas called Geaux Fish! It will feature six sections that both highlight the Louisiana game fish, bait fish, and commercial seafood industries and educate visitors about the importance of preserving the Gulf of Mexico's abundant aquatic resources through research and conservation.

“Audubon’s mission has always been to celebrate the wonders of nature, and Geaux Fish! is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our already considerable presence in the landscape of conservation through an entertaining and memorable way,” said Audubon President and CEO Ron Forman. “It is essential that we teach our children about the importance of a vibrant, well-managed marine ecosystem so we can enjoy an abundance of aquatic life in the future."
